Citi appoints new country head

KARACHI: Citi on Tuesday announced Ahmed Bozai as the new Citi Country Officer (CCO) for its business in Pakistan, a statement said.
As CCO, Ahmed will assume the overall responsibility for driving Citi’s business in the country and will report to Elissar Farah Antonios who has been recently appointed as the Head of Citi’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) cluster.
Until recently, Ahmed was the Chief Operating Officer for the EMEA Emerging Markets (EMEA EM) cluster-based out of Dubai.
He has previously worked with Citi in Pakistan, Greece, and the United Kingdom in several areas, including corporate banking, treasury, and trade solutions, and operations and technology.

Citi has committed to investing $200 million of its own money, not client capital, in companies that have a positive impact on society. On Monday, the company announced its new round of investments which brings the number of companies that Citi has supported up to 11. Clerkie, a Black-owned financial services company that helps people get out of debt, is one of the three Black-owned companies that will be receiving funds.
He has been with the investment bank since 2016.

NEW DELHI: Investment bank and financial services corporation Citi has promoted Gaurav Nijhawan to the post of VP-marketing in India. He was earlier the AVP for brand marketing.
A professional with over a decade of experience in the industry, Nijhawan joined Citi in 2016 as a brand manager. He has previously worked with Carlsberg Group, Ernst & Young, and Aricent. His work profile includes marketing and brand planning, campaign management, digital marketing, trade marketing, activation, marketing research etc. He is a Mudra Group of Communications Ahmedabad alumnus.
